L Eco: The base model offered features such as 15-inch wheels, automatic LED headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, automatic climate control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with auxiliary controls, cloth upholstery, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a 7-inch touchscreen, and a six-speaker audio system with a CD player and USB input.
LE: The LE added parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear window wiper.
XLE: The XLE trim offers features like 17-inch wheels, automatic wipers, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a semi-gloss black center console, a wireless charging pad, faux-leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and heated front seats.
Limited: The top-of-the-line Limited trim includes a head-up display, an 11.6-inch touchscreen, and a 10-speaker JBL premium audio system.
Toyota Prius is powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors that together produced 121 horsepower. This hybrid system is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that drives the front wheels. An all-wheel-drive option, called the AWD-e, is available on the LE and XLE trims, which added a separate electric motor to drive the rear wheels when extra traction is needed.
The Prius is renowned for its fuel economy, with the L Eco trim getting an EPA-estimated 56 mpg combined and the other trims getting an estimated 52 mpg combined. The AWD-e versions are rated at an estimated 50 mpg combined.
Toyota Prius also comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense P suite of driver aids, including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and intervention, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam control.
